Years ago I was at a conference and met up with another public health worker. We had attended some conferences together over the previous years, at this one I noticed this lovely bracelet she was wearing. She told me the story of Mel’s bracelet and she wore hers because she had lost a daughter to cancer. I ordered a bracelet and wear it daily.
It reminds me of his lovely lady, of her loss and of the many patients who are living with this horrible disease each day. It is a perfect reminder of why I do the work I do to support breast cancer patients each day.
