My husband Bob was diagnosed with melanoma at the age of 54. Bob fought through Interferon injections, surgeries, radiation, more surgeries, but never complained. When the melanoma was found in his lymph nodes, it became a terminal cancer. He passed away in less than 18 months from the time he was diagnosed. Hard to believe sometimes, but we laughed and made the best of everything! His strength continues in all of us each and every day. A friend sent me a Mel’s bracelet right after Bob passed away. Then I received a special edition bracelet from another dear friend. I wear them every day and have for the past five years. Yes, they are getting worn and some crystals have fallen out of the special edition one. But they hold such a special place in my heart. I have purchased quite a few just to give to others. Some to those going through cancer treatments or to their family members. Mel’s bracelets are truly loved by all. When others comment on mine…I tell them just how special they are and where to find them. My love to all that have them, to all going though any type of treatment and to all those family members. No one fights alone. Thank you Friends of Mel. I wish I could have met her.
