I saw Mel’s bracelet on a United flight attendant 10 years ago. Since then I have ordered nearly 100 bracelets for girlfriends with cancer, those just diagnosed and for girlfriends with whom I have a special connection. Today my rule of thumb is if I get a compliment on the bracelet, I tell Mel’s story and if the lady has had cancer, I take it off and give it to her! We are all in this together!
